Rahma Rashid

Rahma Rashid is one of fifteen from a Somali immigrant family who traveled to America after the civil war broke out in 1998. She recently received her bachelor's degree from CWU School of Education with a major in Elementary Education and a minor in Teaching English as a second language. Rahma has several years of experience working with students from different diverse groups in providing care to individuals, families, and students. Rahma's main reason for founding Muslimah’s Against Abuse Center is due to her own personal experience with domestic violence. She is a survivor of DV and hopes to create services that she wishes she had throughout her own healing journey. One of her greatest life achievements is being a mother of her five children and showing them that anything in life is possible!
